ABOUT US The AELC Entrepreneurs Club brings together entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages to be informed, inspired and to interact so as to foster, develop and support the entrepreneurial spirit. It all started in October 2007 when Tracey Hodgkins, the club’s founder, decided that Perth needed an Entrepreneurs Club. Invitations went out to Australian Experiential Learning Centre (AELC) contacts and around 25 people turned up for the first meeting - an interesting presentation by Justine Lawrence from Avon Legal on legal issues associated with starting a business.
The new members’ preferences and aspirations for the club were also captured that night and have been used to shape the club as it has moved forward. Membership has grown steadily and the club has staged several successful events. Guest speakers have received great reviews and have been captured on video so they can be viewed by members at our website. (videos coming soon)
You can expect the exceptional range of speakers to continue, with July kicking off with well-known Venture Capitalist, Larry Lopez.
Entrepreneurs Club To Inform members by: - arranging highly informative guest speakers, who as industry leaders and inspiring entrepreneurs, share their success stories, provide advice and answer questions.
- establishing a virtual library of tools, reference material and presentations that may help an entrepreneur transform an idea into reality
- providing access to low cost formal learning workshops through AELC
To Inspire members to be more entrepreneurial in their workplace through: - experiencing first hand the success stories from guest speakers
- hearing what other members of the club have achieved
Allowing members the opportunity to Interact and potentially learn from each other, support each other, develop ideas or work together. Our aim is to grow our membership base, encouraging members to tell their friends and invite them to join.
